Simulation Tools: Field
II Tutorial
This tutorial is designed to give you an introduction to Field_II, an acoustic pressure field simulation package written by Dr. Joergen Jensen. is the method for you. To run this tutorial, you will need to have MATLAB available on your computer. Download the Field_II source code and the Field_II_GUI files to your machine, and then run through the tutorial.
If you are running a unix system, start MATLAB from the directory where you have stored the Field_II files and the Field_II_GUI files. If you have a Windows operating system, start MATLAB and then change directories into the one where you have placed the Field_II and Field_II_GUI source code. After MATLAB has been started, the graphical interface can be brought up by entering the following command in the matlab console:
>> Field_II_GUI
This brings up two windows, one blank one for plot outputs, and one that looks like this:
